Child Help Foundation = Save the Children

A foundation that is benevolently involved in redeeming the lives of underprivileged children could be termed as children’s charities. There are countless children’s charities that work to eliminate poverty by educating children and helping them make ends meet, but success is met in only fewer numbers - one of the most crucial reasons being lack of public participation. The more the number of supportive hands, the easier the task of alleviating the burden of poverty that suppresses underprivileged children. Each one of us must unite for the cause and follow a realistic approach towards this concern; we need to start helping underprivileged children as a collective social responsibility. Besides individuals, large corporations too can fund and help individuals or charitable institutions who work towards the welfare of poverty-stricken children. Children are the beginning of this poverty cycle, whose lives must be reformed to break out of its viciousness. We must, therefore, come together in solidarity to assist and support various children’s charities that dedicatedly help the downtrodden.

Children born in poverty are completely exposed to malnutrition, diseases, substandard living conditions, poor hygiene, and numerous other sufferings. The child, once in the poverty trap, falls through and lives in the same vicious circle. Hence, it is imperative to break the chain of poverty that engulfs the lives of the helpless. Save the Children has been on the forefront ever since its launch in India, in 2008; they are responsible for the reformation of over 10 million children. Be it nutrition, healthcare, protection, education, and response in time of emergencies, Save the Children has played a crucial role in the lives of the underprivileged. Registered in India as ‘Bal Raksha Bharat’, they are one of the nation’s best independent child rights NGOs.

Along with running 65 programmes across 19 states in India, this child help foundation also boasts of 1,73,000 individual supporters, 36 corporate and 20 institutional (national and international) partners who have helped them reach out to the most vulnerable children of the nation. Would you like to be one of the children's charities’s supporters too?
